It's a Limited Edition of 25 numbered CD-Rs in an eco gatefold card case with a booklet. The front cover art and the CD print is pressed from the linocut carved by the musicians. Cover art by Malwa Grabowska/Hipermania & Tomo Jacobson.
The double bass player Tomo Jacobson and the tubaist Rasmus Kjærgård Lund are doing two parallel solo projects - each of them is releasing a new solo album every month, based every time on a new solo concept. That is 12 solo albums each in 2017!
The June album was a further research into the idea, that even though different solo layers used in the recording are recorded separately one after another, one gets a feeling of the real time interactions between them - music feeds on itself, borrowing motives and exchanging ideas between the layers. This is also the first time Tomo used flutes on the recording.
This album is dedicated to Tomo's daughter Mi who opened the world for him.
Total time: 36 minutes.
Recorded on Jul 29, 30 & Aug 3, 2017 at Koncertkirken in Copenhagen, Denmark. All music on the album is improvised.
Cover art is hand painted by the musicians using the linocut technique.
"This is a monumental and excellent project, showing both the technical mastery of Tomo, as well as his sensibility, sensitivity, empathy, attentiveness, creativity and imagination. A monumental achievement!!!"
