about

The double bass player Tomo Jacobson and the tubaist Rasmus Svale Kjærgård Lund are doing two parallel solo projects - each of them is releasing a new solo album every month, based every time on a new solo concept. That is 12 solo albums each in 2017!

The May album was made by layering improvisations on top of one another. There are three layers on each tune (as three basses playing at the same time). All the material used is first takes only.

This album is dedicated to all the life that once was alive, but finally became dead.

Total time: 38 minutes.

Recorded on Jun 11 & 12, 2017 at Koncertkirken in Copenhagen, Denmark. All music on the album is improvised.

Cover art is hand painted by the musicians using the linocut technique.

Thanks to Björn Ross, Johan Ransby Granberg & Taus Bregnhøj-Olesen.
